Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven (2006)

Fresh from directing a series of direct-to-video exploitation flicks about notorious American serial killers, German director Ulli Lommel tries his hand at a horror classic: Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven (2006). Beware the tapping at your chamber door as you descend into the terrifying depths of this eerie modern B, in which the infamous Lenore (Jillian Swanson) is imagined as the lead singer in an L.A. punk band. When her friends start getting offed in mysterious sequence, Lenore confronts her tormenter with the knowledge that a relentless black bird will protect her. The barely legal Swanson will have you crowing everything but “Nevermore!” as she bares her breasts to her offender in a couple of salivating scenes.
