The Premise is a series from former The Office star B.J. Novak that debuted on FX and Hulu in the late summer of 2021. The show's premise (wink wink, nudge nudge) revolves around presenting fictionalized versions of age old moral quandaries in hopes of garnering serious answers to questions that most people don't want to ask. For example, the first episode deals with a case of horrific police brutality wherein an innocent black man could be sent to prison because there's no video evidence of the dispute that led to the incident. Except that there, in fact, video evidence, it's just in the background of a sex tape that the man who videotaped the sexual encounter doesn't want to see the light of day. The second episode centers around a grieving father played by Jon Bernthal who loses his daughter to senseless gun violence. However, he soon gets the opportunity to apply for a powerful and high paying job as the director of PR at a gun lobbying firm. Basically the show puts ordinary people into extraordinary moral quandaries and then sees how they deal with the issues presented to them in the most realistic and honest way possible. Back to that sex tape, which certainly caught your attention a few moments ago. Sadly, the woman in the sex tape—played by Melissa Saint-Amaud—leaves her bra on during the sexual encounter which mostly involves a dude going down on her. Talk about cheating the audience out of the real moral quandary on display there which is, if she wasn't wearing a bra, would you be looking at her bare breasts? The answer: Uh, yeah, of course you would!
