The Cat's Meow

The Cat's Meow (2001)

Brief Nudity

Review

Go back to the days of hip flasks and flappers in the sort-of-true Hollywood drama The Cat's Meow (2001). Peter Bogdanovich directs this sordid tale, based on the 1924 murder of movie producer Thomas Ince (Cary Elwes) aboard media mogul William Randolph Hearst (Edward Herrmann)'s yacht. Rumor has it that Ince got caught in the crossfire between Hearst and Charlie Chaplin (Eddie Izzard), who Hearst confronted after discovering the Little Tramp was slipping his mistress Marion Davies (Kirsten Dunst) a little sausage. Sadly, there's one thing you won't find in this decadent L.A. fable, and that's pussy. But The Cat's Meow does give us a slice of sideboob from brunette Caludia Harrison, which should make your tomcat purr.
