The African Desperate (2022)

Martine Syms directorial debut (modeled after her own college experience) centers on Palace (Diamond Stingily), a black art student going through her final MFA thesis review at her mostly white Upstate New York school. During her last day on campus, Palace is adamant about not DJing the end of the year party that night with her insufferably privileged classmates until the potential of drugs, booze, and quality time with the cute Ezra (Aaron Bobrow) convinces her to change her mind and attend. Things got too far and Palace wakes up completely disorienteed in a parking lot the next day, when she’s supposed to be traveling home to Chicago to take care of her sick mother. Diamond makes her nude debut here when she strips off her top to go swimming while high as a kite with Ruby McCollister! Those beautiful boobs are the real work of art!
