grey assenceSasha Grey has had a lot of things up her ass, but this is the first time it's been a stick! High fives, everybody! No? Aw, ok.

As it turns out, Sasha's beef is against a company, Assence Films, which has offered to donate the profits from Anal Artists, which they claim contains one of her final forays into hardcore, to Read Across America (Sasha's charity of choice)...without her consent!

Sasha, who most recently co-starred in the Jeremy Piven drama I Melt With You (2011), says she didn't even know about Assence's plan "to capitalize on Read Across America, controversy, and my name," as she told TMZ this week, until the National Education Association rejected the donation earlier this week.

Even worse? Sasha says that the scene Assence is hyping so heavily isn't even new!

She tells TMZ that the company is trying to "re-package and re-sell an outdated, previously-available scene by touting it as one of my last scenes" and that she doesn't know what's worse, "the fact that people are now misled to believe I’m personally selling this movie with salacious marketing, or the fact that the [National Education Association] won’t take donations from this pathetic company."

A porn company being shady? That's a first! For their part, Assence released a statement to Xbiz yesterday saying:

"Miss Grey's response to TMZ is nothing short of alarming. It seems to be okay for her to further her mainstream career by reading to kids, but if we try to help we are referred to as pathetic. Seems hypocritical to me. Just because Miss Grey hasn't heard of Assence Films doesn't mean we don't exist...

At no point did my company ever state that Miss Grey was involved or endorsed what we were doing with this campaign. What is the difference between her helping the NEA and us helping?...No one said the scene featuring Miss Grey was newly shot footage. We clearly state that it was one of her last anal scenes that she shot before her retirement."

"The bottom line was to help the program and our failing schools. If Grey was so concerned about education she would have applauded our efforts."

For our part, we're just going to have to, ahem, review the evidence.
