Before he was Bond, the strikingly handsome Irish star Pierce Brosnan showed how well he could fill out a tux by playing the titular role in the Emmy-nominated crime comedy, Remington Steele. An hourlong NBC mainstay from 1982 to 1987, this progressive show centered around a quick-witted private detective named Laura Holt (Stephanie Zimbalist) who has a hard time finding clients willing to hire a woman. Looking to drum up business, she brings in the handsome con man who's name isn't really Remington to pretend to run the business. But as the two solve cases together, they struggle over who is really in charge of the company and do their best to fight their growing mutual attraction. Word on the street is that behind the scenes Pierce and Stephanie didn't get along very well, which was part of why the series ended up cancelled after the fifth season. But Stephanie Zimbalist's character inspired all sorts of career women, Pierce became James Bond, and it's not very hard to see parallels between this one and modern shows like Castle. Being a pioneering TV show is great, but we wish there was way more showing on it. While there’s no nudity on this broadcast show, Stephanie does have a nip slip in an episode that aired November 2, 1984. Flash back in time to seeing her rack in a a rather tight purple dress. Then, when she bends over to grab a telephone, it's hello hooters! It's brief enough that the censors missed it, but it's the best look we ever got at Steph's stuff! That will give you some Remington Steele in your pants.
