Killing Bono (2011)

A Dublin band is left in the dust as their chums Bono, the Edge and, uh, the other guys from U2 shoot to superstardom in Killing Bono (2011). In 1976, Neil (Ben Barnes) and Ivan McCormick (Robert Sheehan) form the band Shook Up, billed as “the second best band in Dublin.” After playing some gigs with an up-and-coming band called U2, Bono (Martin McCann) asks Neil if Ivan can join U2 as a rhythm guitarist. Neil tells Bono where to shove it…right before U2’s meteoric rise to skinternational fame.
