Grindhouse groupie Hyla Marrow made a name for herself flashing her Bs in B-movies in the 1980s. But before that, she was a gymnast and dancer whose talents for tapping and tumbling led her into the stuntma--er, stuntwoman world. Forgive our slip-up because, when she entered the industry in 1975, Hyla was one of only three women in the Professional Stuntmen's Association. Perhaps the name was somewhat to blame for the disparity... She did stunt work in Deadly Hero (1975), Blow Out (1981), and Amityville 3-D (1983), and became the stunt double for near-name double Mia Farrow in some of Woody Allen's films. As far as regular acting goes, this Colorado-born cutie was first cast in 1976's The Death Collector, a cult and campy film the likes of which would become her bread and butter. She next acted in Maniac (1980), a psychological horror flick that became so popular with a certain audience that it was remade in 2012 with Elijah Wood in the lead role. We love the title of her follow-up flick, So Fine (1981), because it describes Hyla to a T...and A! Two years later, this flaxen-haired fox was out for bust-ice when she flaunted her fantastic crack n' rack in William Lustig's action film Vigilante (1983). You'll want to put your bone in Miss Marrow! She appeared in one more project, 1986's Hostage, and then vacated the skindustry to become a day trader. Unfortunately we had to say Byela to Hyla in 2016. RIP you talented beauty.
