For today's Foreign Film Friday, I want to look at one of TWO foreign films with the same title. Let's look at the Italian Venus in Furs from Massimo Dallamano and next week we will take a look at the one from Jesus Franco. Yes, it's true, that two very different Venus in Furs were released in the same year, but they are extremely different while both exhibiting a lot of sex. So what are we waiting for? Let's go to the boot and see some sixties boobs.
Another note on the title: this film was actually released under the name Devil in the Flesh, but its original German release title is Venus in Furs. This film was actually banned in Italy until the sex scenes were recut in the mid-70s. How about that? Moving right along, this film was based on the novel by Leopold Sacher-Masoch about a couple named Severin and Wanda.
The gorgeous Laura Antonelli A plays Wanda, an ordinary woman who is bored with her everyday life. She falls for a sadomasochistic man who turns her entire life upside down and infuses the necessary spice into her life. Now that she has a taste of kink, she fears that she can never go back to ordinary sex - and why should she? Now that she has had a taste of pleasure, she should keep getting it.
Venus in Furs is an Italian flick that you have got to see if you love to see a hot blonde bombshell show off her body from breasts to bush. This Venus is showing her fur!
