Dawson's Creek (1998-2003)

Set in picturesque (and fictionesque) Capeside, Massachusetts, Dawson's Creek tells the story of four teener friends getting ready to journey into adulthood. James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams, and Joshua Jackson starred as the quirky, wordy quartet, joined by Capeside newbies Kerr Smith and Meredith Monroe in their loquacious quest to get out of high school in one emotional piece. Dawson's Creek was based on the experiences of its creator, Kevin Williamson, who also had a smashing big-screen success with the Scream (1996) franchise.
