Cupcakes (2013) follows a group of friends from Tel Aviv who suddenly find themselves thrust into the spotlight of celebrity. While watching a global song competition called “UniverSong”, a group of friends is not very happy with their native Israel’s entry. They spontaneous record their own song on a phone. When the judges hear the song they make this group’s song Israel’s next official entry into the competition and overnight this group of friends become nationwide celebrities.
