You’ve got to wonder about a world in which a defunct TV muppet alien (Alf) can be resurrected as an animated TV series devoted to said alien telling fairy tales to the children. Why Cinderella would matter more coming from an animated version of a puppet than from an anonymous narrator is beyond me, but that’s exactly what Alf and his friends do in this short-lived experiment in beating the last atom of blood from the stone. Jayne Eastwood, who I defy you to recognize in any of the numerous movies she’s been in, supplied some voices for this show. If that means nothing to you, that’s because her claims to fame are in being an originalSecond City comedy troupe member and in showing her cans in the 1975 film My Pleasure is My Business.
